DEARBORN, Mich., (April 21, 2021) — As part of its steadfast commitment to supporting education for underrepresented communities, today AAA-The Auto Club Group (ACG) donated computers and tablets to the t-Lab Accelerated Learning Centers for use by its local and global students.

“Supporting the education of young people has been an important part of AAA’s history and its core values,” said Shohreh Abedi, Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Technology Officer.  “This program is helping young people not only in Michigan, but across the United States and around the world reach their full potential. Through the opportunities provided by t-Lab, these students will go on to make outstanding contributions to our society.”

t-Lab is a non-profit organization which operates accelerated learning centers for students ranging from Pre-K through undergraduate level with operations across the U.S. and a main hub in southeast Michigan. The program focuses on helping students realize extraordinary academic achievements by leveraging a hybrid curriculum including Humanities, Leadership, Liberal Arts, and STEM disciplines.

In addition to its U.S. learning program, the t-Lab also supports outreach efforts supporting similar learning modules in Africa, which some of AAA’s donation will help support.

“We are so thankful to AAA and its leadership for this donation,” said Dr. Clarence Nixon, t-Lab founder and CEO. “AAA’s generosity will not only help our efforts here in the U.S., but it will also kick start our efforts to support 250 students in Kenya; giving them access to technology that is desperately needed to take part in our enrichment program.”
