Use Tow To Go
With 37.6 million motorists expected to travel this Memorial Day holiday weekend -- the most roadway travelers on record for this holiday period since AAA began tracking travel data in 2000 – AAA is reminding motorists to celebrate safely and take steps ahead of time to prevent getting behind the wheel impaired.
No family should have to experience a needless tragedy during the holidays or at any time of year as a result of an impaired driver who failed to plan ahead by using a designated driver, ride share service, or some other sale alternative. For those who failed to plan, Tow to Go will be available this holiday in Nebraska and Iowa, starting Friday, May 24 and running through 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28. To obtain service, call 855-2-TOW-2-GO or 855-286-9246. Tow to Go provides a confidential local ride to a safe location within 10 miles. The AAA tow truck transports the vehicle and driver. It is free and available to AAA members and non-members.
Tow to Go may not be available in rural areas or during severe weather conditions, and is based on the availability of AAA service technicians and tow trucks during times of high call volume.
A partnership program that began in 1998 between AAA, The Auto Club Group Traffic Safety Foundation, and Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser), Tow to Go has safely removed more than 25,000 impaired drivers from the roadways. For details, visit AAA.com/TowtoGo.
