NASHVILLE, Tenn., (February 17, 2020) — The Tennessee gas price average has increased slightly this week after declining for five straight weeks. The Tennessee Gas Price average  is now  $2.20 which is nearly two cents more than last week, 13 cents less than one month ago, and 12 cents more than one year ago.

Last week’s increase broke a 39-day streak of declines for a total discount of 21 cents. Today’s average is slightly lower than Sunday’s average and prices are expected to remain low in the coming week.

“Tennessee motorists continue to experience low gas prices due to healthy stock levels and low fuel demand,” said Megan Cooper, spokeswoman, AAA - The Auto Club Group. “Motorists are paying, on average, nearly 19 cents per gallon less than the highest price so far this year. ”
