The average gas price in Fargo has dropped below $3 a gallon for the first time 14 months. Today’s average, according to AAA, is $2.99. The last time Fargo motorists paid a lower average was in October 2021. Six months ago, on June 17, the average hit a record high of $4.74 in the Fargo metro area.
The national average currently stands at $3.32. The statewide average in North Dakota is $3.13, one penny above the average one year ago. Currently 17 percent of gas stations in the state have posted prices below $3 a gallon, according to AAA.
