As gas prices continue to move higher, many motorists are looking for ways to use less gas or to save a few cents at the pump.

Today’s national gas price average is $2.18, which is the same price as last week, five cents less than a month ago, but 47 cents cheaper than a year ago.

The COVID-19 pandemic can be very confusing for travelers. As families look to Labor Day and the upcoming autumn and holiday seasons, many are still questioning how the pandemic will affect the various elements of their trip.

Burnsville, MN (April 11, 2020) Since Monday, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has decreased a nickel a gallon to $1.87, reports AAA. 

The National gas price average held steady on the week, but that could change depending on the movement of crude oil prices due to geopolitical concerns.

The end of the year historically ushers in some of the cheapest gas prices of the year. While current averages are trending lower, they won’t go as low as last year.

December is finally bringing cheaper gas prices to pumps across the country.

The national average for regular unleaded gasoline continues to hover at levels not seen since the Great Recession, largely due to abundant supplies and low crude oil costs. Today’s average price of $1.71 per gallon is the lowest price for this date since 2004, and pump prices have fallen for 41 of the past 47 days for a total savings of 29 cents per gallon. Consumers are paying one cent more per gallon to refuel their vehicles on theweek, though average prices are down by 13 cents per gallon on the month and 58 cents per gallon on the year.
