Today’s average gas price in North Dakota is $1.79. That is seven cents cheaper than last Monday, 53 cents less than a month ago and 84 cents less expensive than a year ago.
Gas prices across the state vary considerably. While the lowest 10 percent of stations have an average price of $1.57, the most expensive 10 percent of stations have an average price of $2.12, according to AAA.
Pump prices are expected to continue to fall as Americans implement social distancing by staying at home. With gasoline demand across the country running near a 30-year low, refineries are reducing production in hopes of balancing supply.
