As gas prices continue to move higher, many motorists are looking for ways to use less gas or to save a few cents at the pump.

Nebraska gas prices have sunk to their lowest level since June. The state average dropped 3 cents last week to an average price of $2.06 per gallon.

Soft demand and strong inventory levels are allowing Nebraska motorists to continue to save at the gas pump.

While gas prices across Nebraska rose a penny in August, it’s been 16 years since motorists paid a lower average price for the month.

The National gas price average held steady on the week, but that could change depending on the movement of crude oil prices due to geopolitical concerns.

The end of the year historically ushers in some of the cheapest gas prices of the year. While current averages are trending lower, they won’t go as low as last year.

December is finally bringing cheaper gas prices to pumps across the country.
