Bookings for London have not been as robust as many London hoteliers anticipated. The main reason is because London hotels began to spike rates as soon as the wedding date was announced. Since demand is not as great as anticipated, it appears hotel and package rates have become more realistic and affordable to travelers. For example, current four star hotel rates average about $230 per night.

Huge crowds are expected with many viewers standing on their tip toes to make themselves as tall as possible to catch a glimpse of the wedding procession as it makes its way from Westminster Abbey down Whitehall, through Horse Guards to The Mall along St. James’s Park with the final arrival at Buckingham Palace.
